Nangka rep presents RM205,000 to 41 mosques, suraus in Sibu for Ramadan activities

SIBU, March 11: RM205,000 has been disbursed to 41 mosques and suraus in the Sibu division to conduct activities throughout the fasting month of Ramadan, which begins tomorrow (March 12)

“This is the contribution we give every year for mosques and suraus to carry out their activities throughout the month of Ramadan,” said Nangka assemblyman Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee at the donation handover ceremony at the Al-Qadim Mosque today.


He also called on the 41 mosques and suraus to send representatives to the ‘Al-Quran Hour’ programme, which is scheduled for March 29.

“The Quran reading session will be held in two sessions, from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm. We expect about 500 participants to attend,” he said.

He also invited the public to join the ‘Sungkei Perdana Program’ on March 23 at Tun Tuanku Bujang Square Phase I. — DayakDaily
