KUCHING, March 4: ‘MyTripleE’, a new support programme launched by the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), aims to highlight Malaysia’s expertise in conventions, exhibitions, corporate meetings, and incentives, with a special emphasis on Sarawak’s potential.

According to a press handout, MyCEB and Business Events Sarawak (BESarawak) have joined forces with the goal of mobilising partners such as travel agents, hotels, and product owners to increase the reach and impact of the MyTripleE campaign.

“Today, we are honoured to introduce you to our latest support programme under the ‘Meet in Malaysia’ campaign known as ‘MyTriple – Excel, Elevate, and Enliven’.

“Through this programme, we aim to provide you with the tools, resources, and insights necessary to excel in your roles and contribute to the overall success of events hosted in Malaysia.

“We believe that by delivering in these areas, we can collectively raise the bar for business events in Malaysia and provide event participants with unforgettable experiences,” said Mohammad Isa Abdul Halim, MyCEB’s director of Meeting and Support Incentives Division at the MyCEB – BESarawak Engagement with BE Sarawak Industry Partners 2024 held today at a hotel here.

Mohammad Isa, who represented MyCEB chief executive officer (CEO) Azman Tambi Chik at the event, read the text of Azman’s speech.

The press handout stated that MyCEB’s efforts were successful, as evidenced by its modest closure in 2023, with 20 supported international events gathering a total of 19,173 delegates and an estimated economic impact of RM155.9 million in Sarawak alone.

Meanwhile, in his speech, BESarawak general manager for Business Development and Marketing, Jason Tan Chin Foo, stated that MyCEB’s presence in Kuching represents an excellent opportunity to explore the potential for business growth and collaboration in Sarawak.

“‘MyTripleE’ is an excellent support initiative from MyCEB to support and attract more business events to Sarawak, in line with the goals to ‘Excel’ the industry, ‘Elevate’ the standards of business events, and ‘Enliven’ the business events landscape, so that Sarawak can succeed together,” Tan said.

“MyCEB – BESarawak Engagement with BESarawak Industry Partners 2024 promises ample opportunities for networking, engagement, and collaboration with the state bureau and industry partners, reinforcing the shared dedication of MyCEB and BESarawak to fostering growth and innovation in the business events sector,” read the press handout. — DayakDaily
