KUCHING, March 5: A total of 9,072 out of 12,245 total complaints received in the MyJalan app or over 74 per cent does not fall under the supervision of the Ministry of Works (MoW).

Its Minister Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi said the complaints about roads which are under the Ministry’s jurisdiction only total 3,173 cases or 25.9 per cent.

“Of the cases that fall under our Ministry, we have repaired about 74 per cent of them,” he said during an exclusive interview with Astro Awani broadcast at 8.30pm last night (March 4).

Acknowledging that the public puts their trust in the Ministry to take action on the complaints submitted through the MyJalan app, he said his team is pushing for better collaboration with other authorities to ensure that all roads that need to be repaired are attended to.

“So far, the governments of Johor, Negeri Sembilan and Sarawak are positive of this MyJalan app initiative.

“Next, I will continue to push this initiative to other states,” he added. — DayakDaily
