Museums, historical sites under Sarawak Museum Dept to close on Oct 12 for Sarawak Governor’s Birthday, reopen on Oct 13

KUCHING, Oct 10: Sarawak Museum Department has announced that all museums and forts under its administration will be temporarily closed on Oct 12 (Saturday) in conjunction with the celebration of the Sarawak Governor’s Birthday.

According to an official notice from the department, affected premises include Borneo Cultures Museum, Sarawak Museum (Old Building), Sarawak Islamic Heritage Museum, Natural History Museum, Chinese History Museum, Miri Petroleum Museum, Niah Archeology Museum, Limbang Museum, Fort Alice, Fort Hose, and Rumah Sri Aman.

The museums and forts will reopen to the public on Oct 13 (Sunday).
