Mukah Kitchen brings local flavours to the spotlight at Sarawakku Sayang 2026 programme

MUKAH, Oct 2: Mukah’s identity is being served on a plate at the Sarawakku Sayang (SKS) Programme, where Mukah Kitchen showcases a diverse spread of local delicacies, giving visitors a taste of the division’s distinctive culinary heritage and a different experience through its flavours.

According to a report by TVS, Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki said the variety of local food showcased had made Mukah Kitchen one of the main attractions for visitors.

“Another attraction I see is the kitchen today, and the food is very interesting. There are many local recipes that we cannot find elsewhere,” he said when met by reporters after officiating at the pre-launch of Mukah Kitchen here today.

Mohamad Abu Bakar said the local delicacies allowed visitors to experience Mukah’s unique flavours while discovering recipes that form part of the division’s cultural identity.

He added that preparations for SKS Mukah were progressing well, with the local community ready to welcome Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

SKS Mukah runs from Oct 2 to 4 at Dataran Pehin Setia Raja, featuring various activities and 170 government services for the community.— DayakDaily
