KUCHING, Aug 27: Datuk Ali Biju is more than ready to reassume office as the Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources as “there is still much work to be done”.

Ali said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob’s decision to maintain continuity in many ministries bodes well for the nation, including the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (Ketsa).

“Ketsa has a very wide portfolio, mainly overseeing and ensuring sustainable and responsible development of our natural resources and that the nation’s energy management has optimum oversight.

“I pledge myself once again to work untiringly and serve the nation responsibly at Ketsa under the leadership of the new Minister Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan, together with the very hardworking, supportive and expert civil service in this key ministry led by our very committed, efficient and vastly experienced secretary-general Datuk Zurinah Pawanteh,” he said in a statement today.

Ali who is also the Saratok MP and Krian assemblyman further expressed his gratitude to the prime minister for reappointing him.

“I am most appreciative of his trust and confidence in me to continue my service to the nation in the same ministry which I am familiar with,” he added. — DayakDaily
