KUCHING, Feb 16: A few houses at Kampung Sourabaya Ulu, here, were razed by fire this morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department immediately dispatched firefighters to the scene after receiving the distress call at around 7.50am.
“Upon reaching the scene, one of the house was completely razed to the ground and several other houses were 80 per cent damaged by the fire.
“Another house was slightly damaged by the fire,” the department said in a report.
No injuries were reported in the incident. The occupants managed to escape before the fire spread wildly, the statement added. — DayakDaily
