‘Monkey business’ at longhouse, firemen relocate aggresive primate

MARUDI, Nov 14: Firemen assisted in rescuing an injured monkey found hiding in between two blocks of longhouse this morning.

Villagers from Rh Micheal reported the appearance of a monkey to Marudi fire station at 7.50am.

As the monkey was acting aggressively and fearing for their safety, villagers decided to call for assistance.


Firefighters then took a 23km journey to the longhouse, located at Sg. Brit Marudi.

Upon arrival, they found the monkey trying to conceal itself but was eventually caught.

Firefighters then took the monkey for a ride in their 4WD before releasing back into the forest at KM 25 Jalan Marudi-Lubok Nibong. – DayakDaily
