MIRI, Jan 21: Sibuti MP Dato Lukanisman Awang Sauni plans to expand the mobile Rahmah sale programme to Bekenu and Lambir state constituencies to reach out to the B40 household target group.

“We are planning and will be implementing the programme in these two constituencies (Bekenu and Lambir) next week,” he told the local media today after launching the mobile Rahmah sale programme at the Taman Tunku futsal court.

The programme was a joint collaboration between Lukanisman’s Sibuti service centre with Miri Ministry of Domestic Trade and Costs of Living (KPDN).

Lukanisman added, they are also planning to hold the programme twice a month to provide the public with the opportunity to purchase basic daily necessities at up to 30 per cent cheaper than local market prices.

“Prior to this mobile Rahmah sale programme, the programme was held at selected supermarkets, but because we want to reach more people, we go to the communities and organise the programme at selected sites within residential areas,” he said.

Also present were Sarawak KPDN director Matthew Dominic Barin and Deputy Miri Mayor Cr Ariffin Mohamad. — DayakDaily
