KUCHING, March 23: A disabled woman who was reported missing in Sematan, Lundu, yesterday, has been found safe less than 24 hours later.

The victim was found near the forest area called Hutan Serayan Baru at around 10am today by the search and rescue personnel and has reunited with her family.

“According to the victim’s husband, she had gone out from the back entrance of the house on Sunday at 3pm, and the family only decided to report the case after the victim failed to return home after night time,” the Fire and Rescue Department said in a statement.

The victim was given some food and a health check was administered on her by medical officers at the hospital before she was sent back home with her family members, the department added. — DayakDaily
