MIRI, Aug 23: The mobile anti-rabies vaccination programme in Miri will expand to five additional locations from September to October, making it easier for dog owners to access vaccination, microchipping, and licensing services.
Sarawak Transport Minister Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin said the first location would be Dewan Dato Permaisuri in Permyjaya on Sept 5 and 6, followed by Tudan on Sept 12 and 13.
“Next, the programme will be held at Taman Bulatan Miri on Sept 19 and 20, Kolej Fajar Miri on Sept 26 and 27, and E-Mart Riam on Oct 3 and 4,” he said when met during the Anti-Rabies Vaccination, Dog Microchipping, and Licensing Programme at Miri Public Park today, as reported by TVS.
According to him, the mobile vaccination programme will also focus on areas in Senadin, including Tudan, Desa Senadin, Permyjaya, and Riam, to make the services more accessible to dog owners.
He encouraged dog owners to take advantage of the opportunity to get free anti-rabies vaccinations, as well as microchipping and licensing services. — DayakDaily
