KUCHING, April 6: A Miri man has set a new benchmark in pet care with the introduction of Malaysia’s first fully automated 24-hour self-managed dog boarding system, recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records and Asia Book of Records.
Logility A Plus founder Chin Chee Chong said traditional pet boarding facilities have long faced issues such as skin allergies, bacterial infections, tick infestations, and the spread of disease.
He added that shared spaces, poor ventilation, and inconsistent hygiene often compromise animal welfare and pet owner confidence.
Thus, he took a different approach by designing a system focused on automation, hygiene, and individualised care.
“Each dog is housed in an individual kennel with dedicated ventilation to ensure a clean and stress-free environment.
“An automatic urinal flushing system prevents urine accumulation, which is the main source of bacteria, viruses, and harmful insects, creating a safer space for pets,” he said in a statement.

The facility also uses high-temperature steam cleaning on stainless steel surfaces to further eliminate contaminants.
Owners can check in and out at any time using a secure digital platform with minimal human intervention.
He said automation enables round-the-clock access while reducing reliance on manual operations.
Optional services, including daily walks, grooming, feeding, and kennel cleaning, are supported by trained staff.
Chin said the system’s standard operating procedures have been refined to ensure it is simple, efficient, and user-friendly while maintaining high standards of care.
Eco-friendly cleaning practices, water-saving systems, and energy-efficient operations are integrated into the facility’s design.
He added that the facility also aims to provide structured roles for individuals on the autism spectrum (ASD), offering meaningful work and practical skills development.
“By offering structured tasks such as kennel cleaning and equipment monitoring, we provide a supportive environment for individuals with ASD to gain practical skills,” he said.
He also said the initiative reflects the facility’s commitment to inclusivity, social responsibility, and community engagement.
“This system sets a new benchmark for the pet care industry by addressing long-standing challenges through innovation,” he added.
With a scalable model and plans for expansion, the system positions Miri as a reference point for modern pet care solutions.
The boarding facility is located at Lot 2955, Ground Floor, Jalan Pujut 7, Commercial Centre, 98000 Miri.
