Miri landslide: 3 bodies found, search continues for landslide victim

MIRI, Jan 29: Emergency responders have recovered three bodies buried under the devastating landslide at Kampung Lereng Bukit, Miri while search and rescue efforts are ongoing to locate another victim.

Earlier, the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) reported that the landslide occurred at around 2.58am.

At 6am, rescue teams recovered the body of a teenage boy followed by a second body found under the rubble at 8.55am today.

Seven people were inside the first home when the disaster struck, with an adult male and a teenage girl managing to escape.

All five occupants of the second home, including three teenage girls, survived the incident.
