Miri Hospital issues visitors’ guidelines to guard against coronavirus

MIRI, Feb 11: Miri Hospital is changing its visitor policy, barring anyone under the age of 12 from visiting at this time. Adult visitors are also prohibited unless they have special permits.

According to a statement released today, the new policy takes immediate effect. Visitors are barred from entering Level 1 of the Miri Hospital which include patient wards, surgery wards, intensive care units and the pharmacy.

The statement was released around 3.25pm today (Feb 11) due to the hospital staff handling patients under investigation (PUI) for coronavirus infection at the facility. ā€”DayakDaily
