Miri City Mayor’s Cup futsal tournament scheduled for Feb 25-27

MIRI, Feb 10: Miri City Council Employees’ Social and Recreational Club in collaboration with P. Ramlee Kolok & Catering and Hannah Restaurant & Catering will be organising the Miri City Mayor’s Cup (Piala Datuk Bandar Miri) Open Men’s Futsal Tournament from February 25 to 27 at Miri Indoor Stadium along Jalan Sukan.

The tournament offers attractive prizes plus trophies to the winners.


The Champion will received a cash prize worth at RM5,800 while the Runner-Up will get RM2,000, third placing will receive RM1,500 and fourth placing will get RM500.

The Best Player will bag cash worth RM300 and a trophy while Best Goalkeeper will get a cash prize of RM200 and a trophy.

Miri City Council Employees’ Social and Recreational Club president Mohd Zaidi Adrus Razali said the organiser is inviting teams to take part in the tournament.

The registration fee is RM300 per team.

Mohd Zaidi added, at present, 24 teams from Kuching, Kapit and other locations outside Miri as well as teams from Sabah have registered for the tournament.

The maximum number of teams that the tournament will register is 40 teams.

The closing date for registration is February 22.
