KUCHING, July 17: There will be no more political fortune for party hoppers after the anti-party hopping bill is passed in Parliament soon, says political pundit Dato Peter Minos.

He said it is only wise that laws to ban party hopping are coming up and help to bring some stability back to Malaysian politics when Malaysians detest political squabbles caused by party hopping.

“They are called ‘frogs’ because, like frogs, they hop around hunting for insects and in doing so, they themselves, at times, get caught and eaten.

“Hoppers do not have in their mind and vocab (vocabulary) anything like loyalty, allegiance and love for party or people,” he said in a statement today.

Minos condemned party hoppers for confusing their voters and creating political havoc.

He thus commended Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office (Parliament and Law) Dato Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar for his effort to table the bill.
