KUCHING, June 10: Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has done “so far, so good” in his first 100 days in office, opines Datuk Peter Minos.

Minos cited the Prime Minister’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic as an example of this.

“For the first 100 days in office, he (Muhyiddin) has been ‘so far, so good’, having handled the Covid-19 well, appointed good people to his cabinet and met with medical experts on how to tackle the deadly Covid-19,” Minos, who the chairman of the Kota Samarahan District Council, wrote in a WhatsApp message.

He stressed that the prime minister’s decision to declare the Movement Control Order (MCO) on March 18 was most desirous.

Minos, who is a senior Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) member pointed out that Muhyiddin has helped suffering people during the Covid-19 pandemic and is also fixing the economy.

“The prime minister has made difficult decisions with speed and efficiency, which is a mark of a good leader,” he opined, adding the decisions were made despite severe attacks from critics. He believed that with the threat of Covid-19 fading, Muhyiddin will fully focus on economic revival and growth.

Meanwhile, Minos commended the state government’s move to fully implement the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) from June 17 instead of June 10 in order to have more time to study, enhance and fine-tune SOPs to meet local conditions. — DayakDaily
