Minos: Do not underestimate Covid-19 as it concerns life-and-death

Dato Peter Minos

KUCHING, Oct 10: Do not take Covid-19 infection lightly and seek immediate medical treatment if tested positive, advised Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) chairman Dato Peter Minos.

Minos who recently tested positive for Covid-19 in a statement today said Covid is an invisible evil virus, because it attacks at will, anytime, anywhere and anyhow, when least expected.

He opined everyone should do everything in their life and power to not to be infected because infection can mean death or near-death, and the pain is so great and beyond comprehension, especially for patients in Category 4 and 5.

“It was as if you are choking and drowning, with high fever, splitting throat (sic) and splitting headache. It is just horrible. Terrible.

“If Covid attacks you, please go to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) immediately. Yes immediately. Waste not a second. Because the attack can kill you in minutes. Take that from me please,” he said.

Minos also expressed gratitude to the doctors and nurses at SGH for their excellent services during his 14 days of quarantine after he contracted Covid-19 recently.

Minos said he is proud to be in Malaysia and Sarawak because no other nation has a better medical system in saving lives from Covid-19.

“They are simply the very best. Absolutely excellent. Top. Like angels from heaven doing everything to save your life. I m truly grateful to them till I die. If any ugly politician starts to criticise the doctors and nurses, I will feel like hitting them on the heads,” he added.

Meanwhile, Minos who is also a political pundit reminded all Malaysians to appreciate what the government, especially the Ministry of Health (MOH), State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), doctors, nurses and all other frontliners have sacrificed to protect the public from the deadly illness.

He pointed out that the Covid-19 must be eradicated as soon as possible and everyone must help the government to vaccinate everybody, as well as adhere to all the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and directives.

“We must fully cooperate with government, be it State and Federal, to remove this evil curse that has brought great and terrible pain, sufferings and deaths to us all.

“After Covid is fully gone and dead, hopefully very soon, only then we can get normalcy and our lives back. We can then go for all other things, the economic recovery and all that. Till then, get rid of Covid, as soon as possible. United Malaysians can do it,” he said. — DayakDaily
