Sagah said the initiative is aimed to provide a different platform for young students to improve their English language proficiency.

Representing MEITD in the signing ceremony was its permanent secretary Datuk Kameri Affandi while managing director of Budding Readers Charles Shim signed on behalf of National Geographic Learning.

A total of 88 primary teachers from the Subis district took part in the workshop.

“The ‘Look and Learn’ series will align with a key deliverable of high English language proficiency in all schools and create a Sarawakian contributor network to deliver high-quality learners’ resources,” said Sagah.

He added that the State government believed it would provide a unique opportunity to inspire and teach students that learning can be fun via the partnership. — DayakDaily
