Minister urges transparent probe into Cyberjaya student murder

KUCHING, June 26: Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri has called for a transparent and integrity-driven investigation into the tragic death of a 20-year-old university student in Cyberjaya.

In a Facebook post today, she said, “I believe and hope that the investigation will be conducted transparently and with integrity so that justice can be served.”

Before departing for Putrajaya, the minister also took time to visit the grieving family of the victim, offering her personal condolences and support.

The victim, a female university student originally from Kuching, was found murdered in a condominium unit at Mutiara Ville, Cyberjaya, on Tuesday morning.

According to a news report by TVS, a post-mortem conducted at Hospital Serdang confirmed that she died from blunt force trauma to the head. Police have ruled out signs of sexual assault.

The case is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. – DayakDaily
