KUCHING, Oct 5: Miri’s landscape is suitable for high-profile sporting events such as bicycle races and sailing competitions, says Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, Lee, who is the Minister for Transport Sarawak, said Miri’s potential as a resort city is further boosted by hosting events like Le Tour de Langkawi.
“It not only showcases our beautiful city but also encourages more visitors to explore what we have to offer,” he said during the Petronas Le Tour de Langkawi (LTDL) 2024 Stage 7 held at Miri Waterfront today.
The race was held starting from Miri Waterfront, passed through several local landmarks and towns, including Jalan Permaisuri, the Miri-Pujut Road, the Bintulu-Miri Coastal Road, and ended at Lasar Kenyalang in Bintulu. — DayakDaily
