KUCHING, July 1: Minister of Women, Childhood Education and Community Well-being Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah has praised non-governmental organisation 38 Yayasan Amal Cinta for their community service work and contributions to society.
Fatimah said the organisation has been very active, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“38 Yayasan Amal Cinta responded well in helping the people, not only in urban areas but also rural areas, and many people have benefited from their efforts and assistance.
“You just let them know your problems and they will respond to your needs immediately, ” she said.
Fatimah said this at the handing over of an ambulance to Malaysia Red Crescent (MRC) Society, Kuching Branch Reservoir Park Kuching, today.
She went on to say 38 Yayasan Amal Cinta is new, but their contributions to the needy have been substantial and much welcomed in difficult times.
“Not only do they provide food aid and other basic necessities, but they are also able to donate ambulances and funeral vans,” she said.
MRC Sarawak Chapter chairman Tan Sri George Chan Hong Nam, MRC Kuching Branch chairman Datuk Dr Abang Abdul Rauf Abang Zain, 38 Yayasan Amal Cinta founders Dato Sri Ho Kim Hee, Dato Sri Chan Leng Seng and Dato Sri Voon Thien Loong as well as Kuching Love Book Association founder May Loo were also present. — DayakDaily
