According to him, during his recent meeting with the president of Marietton Group, one of France’s largest tourism companies, Laurent Abitbol, and the chief executive officer of Havas Voyages, Christophe Jacquet, they exchanged views on online promotion and digital marketing.

“They will be assigning specialists to engage potential groups online and utilise digital technology to target and promote Malaysian tourism precisely,” he said in a statement today.

After the meeting, he added that they also met with Marco Vasco, a representative from a travel agency specialising in customised travel experiences, to discuss the proposal of collaborating with local influencers.

“Both parties have reached a preliminary agreement to invite local influencers to Malaysia for a 10- to 14-day ‘Explore Malaysia Tour’,” he said. — DayakDaily
