KUCHING, Oct 16: A house, three cars and eight motorcycles were destroyed in a fire in Tabuan Desa just before midnight yesterday (Oct 15).
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Tabuan Jaya and Batu Lintang stations responded to the emergency at 11.54pm and swiftly deployed a team of firefighters to the scene.
Fortunately, three residents – a 63 year-old man, a 40-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man – managed to escape unharmed. No injuries were reported.
The blaze completely razed the house and eight motorcycles, along with a Perodua Kenari.
A Nissan Grand Livina and a Toyota Hilux suffered significant damage, with 80 per cent and 50 per cent of each vehicle affected, respectively.
Firefighters took about an hour to fully extinguish the flames, ensuring no sources of reignition and securing the site before concluding their operation. — DayakDaily
