MBKS to open stall applications for Valentine’s Day on Jan 30

KUCHING, Jan 28: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) will open stall applications for Valentine’s Day on Monday (Jan 30).

According to MBKS mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng, applicants must be aged 18 and above and must be Sarawakians.

In terms of the site of the stall, it can be on pedestrian walks, malls, road verges, and any sites approved by the council as long as traffic isn’t affected.   

The applicants must also state the number and the size of their stalls which must be structurally sound and properly maintained.  

“Items that can be sold include flowers, chocolates, toys, t-shirts, balloons and other items approved by the council,” said Wee during his weekly ‘Shall WEE Talk’ live stream today.

He said the permit fee is RM80 per stall, and there will be a refundable security deposit of RM250 per stall or lot. — DayakDaily
