KUCHING, Oct 28: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng paid a short visit to Wishesland International here recently in a show of support.

Wishesland International is a non-profit organisation (Malaysia Cerebral Palsy Association, Kuching and Samarahan Divisions) which provides counselling services, rehabilitation and consolidation treatment to children and adults with cerebral palsy as well as members of their families.

Wishesland was established since 2009 and moved into its current premises in 2011.

Chi Poh Yung, founder and president of Wishesland welcomed Wee at the centre this morning before bringing the latter on a short tour around the centre, followed by a briefing.

Chi stated that it was the first time for a city mayor to come and visit Wishesland.

“It was an honour to have a city mayor who is very supportive and willing to understand more about cerebral palsy and Wishesland.

“Dato Wee has personally committed to give some personal donation to assist the association in any way possible,” said Chi.

He thanked Wee for the love and care the latter showed towards the children at Wishesland and called on the public to continue to support the association financially to ensure the NGO’s daily operations can continue sustainably. — DayakDaily
