MBKS mayor spreads Raya cheer to floating mosque representatives

KUCHING, May 1: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng has handed over face masks with Hari Raya designs to the representatives of the Kuching floating mosque at Jalan Gambir today.

The contribution, which was also gifted to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) and police stations under MBKS’ jurisdiction, was done in conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.

Wee also took the opportunity to express his wishes to those celebrating the joyous festival.


“We need to be thankful because Sarawak is a State where multicultural citizens live harmoniously under a stable government.

“We have been living together under one roof, and we have shown other people that we can live in peace and harmony because we unite as Sarawakians,” he said in a statement today. — DayakDaily
