KUCHING, Feb 7: Tay Motor has stepped forward to sponsor a motorcycle for a job seeker from the outskirts of Miri, easing the individual’s daily struggle to commute to work and helping him sustain his livelihood.
Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Tay Motor for the timely assistance, saying the individual had been facing serious difficulties travelling to and from work due to the lack of reliable transportation.
Wee said he was alerted to the hardship after being approached by members of the public who were concerned about the individual’s situation.
Taking the initiative, he then reached out to Tay Motor to explore possible assistance.
“When I was informed about his situation, I approached Tay Motor to see if they could help, and I am grateful that they agreed. With this sponsorship, he now has a dependable means of transport to commute to work, which is essential for him to sustain his livelihood,” he said in a media release today.
He also commended Tay Motor for their willingness to step forward and support the community, describing the contribution as more than just a corporate gesture.
“This is more than a sponsorship. It reflects compassion and shared responsibility in helping someone overcome hardship,” he said, adding that such acts of kindness demonstrate how public and private sectors can work together to uplift those in need. — DayakDaily
