KUCHING, June 17: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng expressed gratefulness to have staff from all races and religions celebrating festive seasons together in peace and harmony.

“This kind of celebration is to bring the staff together so they can spend time with each other,” he said when attending a Raya Gawai Celebration programme held at MBKS lobby yesterday (June 16).

According to Wee, the programme is the first attempt by MBKS management to have an in-house gathering for the staff since the pandemic.

“Thank you for making such efforts as having a good relationship among the staff is very important.

“These people are the backbone of the council. This kind of programme shows the council’s appreciation for their hard work and endless support,” he added.
