KUCHING, July 19: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng has come to the aid of a family of a cancer patient.
According to a post on Wee’s official Facebook Page, the family reached out to Wee seeking urgent assistance.
“After learning about all of the circumstances, (I) discovered that their father has cancer and is currently having difficulty eating, drinking, and moving around.
“Therefore, they urgently require an automated bed to assist with his future daily life,” he said.
In response to the family’s plea, Wee contacted Janice Ling, a seasoned senior welfare team member, and enlisted the help of a Penghulu and Kapitan.
“They also coordinated with the Kuching Sunflower Caring Society (Persatuan Penyayang Matahari Kuching) to provide the family with an automated hospital bed,” he added.
The automated hospital bed will offer the patient and his family much-needed assistance with essential functions and ensuring the patient’s enhanced comfort and ease of movement. — DayakDaily
