As part of the event, MBKS will distribute 800 lanterns for free, generously sponsored by Lion City Singapore Hainan Chicken Rice Sdn Bhd.

In addition, 500 mooncakes will be handed out to further enrich the traditional spirit of the festival.

A highlight of the evening will be a captivating high pole lion dance performance by the Chinese Martial Art Association (CMAA), sponsored by Kapitan Tan Kun Gee.

At a press conference today, MBKS Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng said this vibrant and acrobatic display is sure to enthrall attendees.

Emphasising the importance of safety during the festival, he reminded the public to refrain from releasing sky lanterns as the practice is illegal and poses significant safety risks.

Attendees are encouraged to honour the traditional aspects of the Mid-Autumn Festival while prioritising community safety. ā€” DayakDaily
