MBKS hands over food aid to 50 KMC Flats residents

KUCHING, April 2: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) has handed out food aid to 50 tenants of the KMC Flats today as part of its Caring Community Programme.

MBKS Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng said the items were donated by Everise Departmental Store Sdn Bhd for its 32nd anniversary.

“Through programmes such as this, we aim to ease the burden faced by vulnerable groups while promoting a culture of empathy and mutual support among our residents,” he told reporters when handing over the aid at the KMC Flats today.

Wee further said MBKS will continue reaching out to vulnerable groups to ensure no one is left behind and urged everyone to work together to make Kuching South a compassionate city.

“Let us continue to work together in strengthening our community, supporting one another, and creating a city that is not only liveable, but also compassionate for all,” he added. — DayakDaily
