MBKS calls for IRB special counter to process trade license quickly

KUCHING, Dec 6: Local business community will be able to make appointments with the State Inland Revenue Board (IRB) through a special counter to expedite their trade license renewal.

According to Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng he had also appealed to the State Director of Inland Revenue Malaysia to waive the penalty of those who failed to renew their trade license on time.


“According to the State Director of Inland Revenue Malaysia, the business community can schedule their appointment manually through the special counter at the IRB office to expedite the renewal time, and the appointment can be made from Monday to Friday starting from 8 am onward,” he said in a press statement today.

Earlier on Wee together Political Secretary to the Chief Minister Tan Kai and other MBKS officers paid a courtesy call to the State IRB director Abang Ehsan Abang Abu Bakar to discuss matters pertaining to the local business community.

“The purpose of the courtesy call was to relate the issue of trade license renewal faced by the business community. The business community hoped that waiting time to renew the trade license can be lessened,” he added. – DayakDaily.
