KUCHING, May 1: Tourism, Arts, and Culture (Motac) Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing emphasises that the unity government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has allowed many departments and agencies to get back on track over the last few months gradually.

In a Labour Day message posted on Facebook today, Tiong stated that a stable political situation is key to Malaysia’s success in recovering from the recent economic downturn and creating a healthy work environment in the economic sectors.

“We can perceive a renewed vitality where employers and employees work in tandem with each other. With mutual hard work, everyone’s efforts will eventually bear fruit,” he said.

He said that the Malaysian government launched a series of diplomatic activities for actionable results in the first half of 2023.

In particular, Tiong said, was Anwar’s trip to the People’s Republic of China, where RM170 billion in record-breaking trade agreements were successfully signed.

“Let us applaud and commend the hardworking people of Malaysia, leading the way to ushering in the next chapter for us with courage and perseverance,” he added.

In light of the current trends, he continued, Malaysia will soon enter a new era.

“Therefore, I urge the members of all industries, from the management level to the entry-level staff, to pursue excellence in cultivating human talent capacities and competencies. This would gear up the nation to reach greater heights. Here’s wishing everyone a Happy Labour Day 2023!” he stated. — DayakDaily
