KUCHING, Jan 13: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has remained ambiguous about his preferred English football team during a town hall session tonight.
Asked by a political analyst, Prof Dato Dr Siva Pandian, one of the moderators during the town hall session with the Sarawak youth today, Abang Johari playfully beat around the bush without giving a direct answer.
“Most of the time, Manchester United is not doing bad at all, but Liverpool has its ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ anthem,” he said.
The town hall session was held at the Hikmah Exchange Convention Centre in conjunction with Abang Johari’s seven-year tenure as Sarawak Premier.
In the event, Abang Johari also reflected on the State government’s achievements in the past seven years under his leadership, bringing political stability, racial and religious harmony, and prosperity to Sarawak and the country. — DayakDaily
