Man suffers horrific skull fracture in fight

MIRI, Dec 24: An Indonesian man suffered a horrific skull fracture during a brawl with countryman on Monday (Dec 23) morning.

The brutal fight was reported to have taken place in front of a surau of an estate nearby Marudi junction around 7am.


According to Miri deputy police chief Supt Sabri Zainol, both men including the assailant have been rushed to the Miri Hospital for medical treatment.

On the morning of the incident, the estate’s auxiliary policemen rushed to the location after they were informed about the fight.

The officers managed to apprehend the suspect whom they found sitting half-conscious and holding a machete, while the victim was discovered lying face up on the ground with blood gushing out from his head.

In the initial investigation, police said the suspect had cut himself with the machete after injuring the victim.

However, Sabri did not immediately revealed the motive of the fight.

The case is being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means.— DayakDaily
