MIRI, Aug 1: A man in his 50’s is alleged to have locked up his daughter inside her room in their house at Kampung Wireless, Jalan Permaisuri here after running amok.
No untoward incident took place during the occurence which happened on Monday night (July 30).
The girl’s confinement was discovered by her uncle when he returned to the house after finishing his work shift as a security guard. Worried over his niece’s safety and fed up with her father’s behaviour, the uncle lodged a police report over the incident.
It was not immediately know the actual cause of the incident.
According to sources, it was not the first time that the suspect had done so, as every time he ran amok, the man would locked up his daughter inside the house.
Police are investigating the incident. — DayakDaily
