KUCHING, Oct 10: A 51-year-old man was killed after he lost control of his car and crashed into a lamp pole at Bintulu-Tatau Road on Friday morning.
The incident happened at 12.35am. A team of police was despatched to the scene after they were alerted about the incident.
According to the State Police Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, the strong impact of the crash caused the victim’s car to enter the opposite lane.
The victim suffered heavy injuries to his head and body and was later pronounced dead by a medical officer at the scene.
The accident is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
