Man killed after car collides with lorry at Ngu’s junction, Batu Niah

MIRI, Aug 25:  A man has been killed while his son injured when their car collides with a lorry at Ngu’s Junction, Batu Niah, Miri yesterday.

The victim Edward Isau, 45, died on the spot while his seven-year-old son Zamri Edward who was the front passenger sustained injury.

In a statement by the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Miri, it was revealed that the father and son were traveling from Bintulu to Miri when their car collided with a lorry at around noon time yesterday.

The victim’s body had to taken out from the wrecked vehicle by a special cutting tool while his injured son was assisted and brought out from the damaged car by the help of members of the public.

The victim’s body was later handed over to the police for further action.

The lorry driver did not sustain any injury during the accident. — DayakDaily
