SIBU, March 18: A man perished while six others survived after the four-wheel drive vehicle they were in went out of control and fell 100 metres down a ravine near Rumah Ugak in Majau Mujang, Kapit last night.
The deceased, 36, was the driver of the vehicle.
The firefighters were alerted to the incident at 9.27pm and rushed a team of seven led by an officer to the scene.
According to State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) in a statement, the force of the impact ejected all seven people out of the vehicle during in the accident which happened around 9pm.
Residents of the area managed to help the survivors out.
The firefighters managed to extract the body of the driver with special tools. — DayakDaily
