KUCHING, April 26: A 48-year-old driver was injured in a single-vehicle accident near Kolej Datu Patinggi Abang Haji Abdillah.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre today, they received a call regarding the incident at 10.02am and dispatched firefighters from Bomba Petra Jaya to the location.
The operations commander reported that the accident involved a touring van that ended up on the roadside after the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree.
After a size-up, firefighters then proceeded to open the front passenger door in order to extract the victim, who was still in the driver’s seat and was later handed over to medical personnel from the Ministry of Health (MOH) for further action.
The operation ended at 10.25am after firefighters ensured that the situation was under control. — DayakDaily
