LAWAS, Aprill 9: A man was injured after being hit by a tree in Kampung Long Kachu this afternoon.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Lawas responded to the emergency at about 12.04pm and a team of firefighters was deployed to the scene.
The operations commander, PBK II Bunsu Harun reported that the victim was found lying under a tree in a semi-conscious state upon the team’s arrival.
Together with medical personnel from the Ministry of Health (MOH), the rescue team provided immediate first aid before carefully evacuating the victim.
The rescue operation involved carrying the victim approximately 800 metres through hilly terrain to reach the main road.
From there, the victim was transported in a 4WD vehicle to a waiting ambulance and subsequently taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment. — DayakDaily
