MIRI, Feb 1: Pedestrians and local residents were shocked to find a dead man lying by the shoulder of a road at Lorong Pujut 2C this evening.
The police immediately mobilised a team of officers after they were alerted of the discovery at around 5pm.
The victim, believed to be in his 50s, was only clad in his underwear and black t-shirt when found by the public.
“Prior to the discovery, the victim was last spotted sitting at the junction of Pujut 2C at around 3.30pm,” a source said.
It was understood that the deceased, a local, was living in Pujut Corner.
The police is still investigating the actual cause of death. The body was brought to Miri Hospital for a post mortem.
At the moment, the case is being classified as sudden death. — DayakDaily
