Man dies in head-on collision at Jln Mukah-Balingian

MUKAH, Nov 14: A 47-year-old man dies after his vehicle collided head-on with a lorry at Jalan Mukah-Balingian, today.

Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief, Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, said the incident occurred at 7.40am.

“The victim, Azeni Sahari from Kampung Kuala, was coming from Balingian heading towards Mukah, while the lorry was on its way from Mukah to Selangau.


“After arriving at the crossroad from Mukah, the lorry driver took his right turn towards the road to Selangau without stopping and collided with the victim’s vehicle that was in the main road from Balingian heading to Mukah,” he said in a statement today.

He added that the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by the paramedics and the body was brought to Mukah Hospital.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
