BAU, Mar 6: A man died in an accident involving two cars at Kampung Keranji, along Batu Kitang-Bau yesterday.
Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (Bomba) Sarawak spokesperson said they received a report regarding the incident at 6.49pm.
Members from the Bau Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) were deployed to the scene of the incident immediately upon receiving the report.
“On arrival at the scene, it was found that an accident had occurred when two cars from opposite direction collided,” said the spokesperson.
He said there were four victims in the Perodua Myvi and one victim in the Perodua Kelisa.
Following the accident, the driver of the Perodua Kelisa was trapped and was pronounced dead by the paramedics before the firemen removed him from the car.
“Meanwhile, the four injured victims were sent to Bau Hospital by the EMRS Fire Department unit,” he said.
