BAU, Oct 31: A 37-year-old man was arrested for allegedly operating an illegal four-digit (4D) numbers, here, yesterday.
Bau district police chief DSP Poge Nyaon said the arrest was made at 6.15pm in front of a shop lot in Kampung Bidi.
“The subject was arrested and the confiscated items were taken to the Bau police station for further investigation,” he said.
Among the seized items included a paper with written numbers on it, which is suspected to be the illegal lottery number, an undisclosed amount of cash and a black pen.
Initial investigation on the suspect found no previous record and the case was investigated under Section 4A (a) of Common Gaming Houses Act 1953. — DayakDaily
