Man arrested for drug possession

KUCHING, Nov 11: A 37-year-old unemployed man has been arrested for allegedly involvement in drug.

Sarawak Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) chief, Supt Hasnir Abdul Hamid said the arrest was made in front of a hotel at 1.30pm yesterday.

“After searching the suspect’s belonging, two transparent plastic packets containing crystalised cubes believed to be Syabu (5.36 gram) and 29 pills believed to be Erimin (7.74 gram) were found in the suspect’s brown beg,” he said in a statement today.

An initial urine test had confirmed that the suspect was positive for Amphetamine and Methamphetamine.

A background check revealed that the suspect does not have any prior record.

The case is being investigated under Section 39A(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for drug possession. — DayakDaily
