HONG KONG, Jan 14: Sarawak’s very own Taylor Louise made the nation proud when she was crowned champion of the International Round at the Asia Students Arts Festival (ASFA) 2025 recently.
But even sweeter was that she dedicated the win to her mother as a birthday gift.
In an Instagram post, she expressed her appreciation to her family, friends, coach, and followers for their support.
“Mama, this is my birthday gift for you! Papa, thank you for making the beautiful dress for me. I love you, Papa, Mama, and Jie Jie (big sister) so much! Coach Sabrina, this one’s for you! Besties Chien and JayC, I did it!
“A special thanks to all of you, my amazing followers, for your prayers. Without all of you, I wouldn’t have had the courage and strength to make it happen,” she wrote in her post.
She further added how humbled she was of this achievement, and said that she will be representing Sarawak and Malaysia at the Royal College of Music in London for the Winner Showcase this August.
“Thank you for all your support—this means the world to me. Congratulations to all the winners of the evening and see you guys in London. Pinch me please!!!! I am not dreaming right?” (sic)
Her performance of the song ‘Easy On Me’ by English songstress Adele cinched her win at the festival, which she uploaded on her Instagram account.
