KUCHING, Oct 15: There will be a disruption of ferry services at the Kuala Igan terminal involving the Maju and Benuong ferries in Mukah Division.
According to Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR), in a notice posted on Facebook, the Maju Ferry is currently being brought from Sibu to Igan and is expected to resume operations by this afternoon.
As for the Benuong Ferry, it is currently undergoing maintenance work due to damage. It will be announced at a later date when the ferry will resume operations.
However, the notice added that the Luyan Ferry is operating as usual from 4am to midnight.
The department also reminded passengers to plan their journeys and adhere to the ferrys’ standard operating procedures (SOPs).
