KUCHING, April 28: The main access road to Masjid Darul Ibadah Batu Kawa will be temporarily closed for four weeks from April 29, 2025, to facilitate upgrading works under the infrastructure improvement project for Batu Kawah’s drainage system (Phase 1).
According to a notice issued by the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) Sarawak, the upgrading works involve improving the roadside drains along the main access route to the mosque.
The temporary closure will be in effect from April 29 to May 27, 2025. Road users are advised to refer to the alternative routes provided in Appendix A.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution when driving near the construction area and to follow all traffic management measures in place for their safety.
DID Sarawak stated that updates would be provided if there are any changes to the schedule, time, or areas involved in the project. Road users are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and are thanked for their patience and understanding during this period.
